JDT has recently acquired an electricity utilities company: Carris Utility Solutions Ltd . Based out of south London, Carris US has a 15-year pedigree in the electricity utilities sector and currently delivers electricity connections services for its principal client Power On Connections Ltd, part of the BUUK group, a leading national multi-utilities infrastructure provider. This acquisition is another step along JDT’s long term business plan as we expand across the utilities sector to realise the opportunities of the NetZero transition and further secure our long-term future. The CEO and the Board of Directors welcome the Carris Utility Solutions team to the JDT family, and we look forward to an exciting and prosperous future as we embark on this new venture together.

JDT Utilities Ltd is a Private Limited Company established in 2010 providing engineering services to the gas utilities industry with our main clients being SGN and Cadent. Our core activity is Tier 1 mains replacement operations of which we deliver for SGN around 120Km per year across Wessex and London, and for Cadent over 30Km per year in North London. We are also SGN’s principal supplier for major R6 / IP / MP operations including place-works, non-proxy, holders etc and we provide up to 40 engineering teams into SGN’s Connections and ELR contract. We currently employ 90 staff and manage up to 300 subcontractors from our Dorset based head office and our Operations Groups’ depots in Wimborne, Erith, Romford and Westerham. We pride ourselves on our team of high-quality people who ensure we consistently achieve excellent safety and engineering standards, and deliver an outstanding customer experience. We are always looking for the right people to join us as we expand our operations.

What we do

We’re delivering the GD3 phase of the 30/30 programme (12% of SGN’s output) and major gas mains infrastructure repair & replacement across the south of England.

Working with partners

JDT Utilities works closely with other utility contractors, GDN’s (such as SGN, Cadent Gas, tRiio), highways authorities and trusted suppliers.
