All our employees, sub-contractors and contracting partners/associates receive induction information, instruction and training in the Health & Safety, Environmental requirements and any specific hazards associated with the work they undertake Site Managers, Supervisors, Foremen and Gangers shall ensure that all persons, including subcontractors and self-employed, who work on Company sites, have received relevant induction information, instruction and training together with any specific requirements before they are permitted to start work before commencement of any project, work, etc, all hazards, in relation to all work activities, shall be identified and communicated to the site workforce during induction training, site briefings and toolbox talks, as necessary.

JDT Utilities Health & Safety Policy, Customer Care Policy and individual responsibilities under it is explained to all our employees upon commencement of employment and following any significant changes to its content. It is read by all employees, at least annually and all employees, in positions of authority, shall be responsible for ensuring that the policy is read annually by all of their subordinates. The Company will arrange and provide all employees with all of the information, instruction and training necessary, to ensure their capability to undertake their duties and responsibilities in a healthy and safe manner. Company, Contractors’ Site Managers, Supervisors, Foremen and Gangers shall ensure that all persons, including subcontractors and self-employed, who work on Company sites, have received relevant induction information, instruction and training, together with any specific requirements stated in this policy, before they are permitted to start work. . Before commencement of any project, work all hazards, in relation to all work activities, shall be identified and: be eliminated at source, where reasonably practicable. Those that cannot be eliminated must be the subject of suitable and sufficient risk assessments. The risks are to be reduced to their lowest levels, so far as is reasonably practicable, by use of workplace precautions (e.g. Barriers, PPE, etc.), design of safe systems of work and written method statements Communicated to the site workforce during induction training, site briefings and toolbox talks, as necessary.

JDT maintains a technical training matrix which is an ongoing live document with expiry dates of training certificates being highlighted 2 months to enable new training or refresher training to be carried out
